Tabia
Learn chess by reliving the greatest games ever played.

A chess trainer that turns the greatest master games into an active workout: reconstruct each game from memory, move by move, with progressive hints - then let spaced repetition make it stick.
Passive study doesn't transfer. You've seen the Immortal Game a dozen times - but could you play it? Watching a brilliancy feels like learning and mostly isn't: recognition is not recall. The richest teaching material in chess - whole games by Morphy, Anderssen, Fischer, Kasparov - stays something you watch, not something you can produce.
Tabia makes you produce the moves. Pick a legendary game and rebuild it from the starting position, playing each move from memory; when you're stuck, progressive hints nudge rather than reveal. Every move you miss is scored and scheduled by a spaced-repetition engine (FSRS), so the games resurface right before you'd forget them. It's offline-first - an Expo / React Native app with a bundled game database - so it works on the train, at the board, anywhere, with no account needed to start.
Play, don't watch
Reconstruct famous games move by move from memory. Producing the moves is what makes them yours.
Hints that nudge
Stuck on a move? Progressive hints point the way without handing you the answer, so the recall still counts.
Spaced repetition
An FSRS engine scores what you missed and brings each game back exactly when you're about to forget it.
In active development through 2026 - a studio product, offline-first for iOS and Android. We're sharing the thinking early; the build follows.
